The South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region (SWEPR) Industry and Innovation Bureau is established under Proclamation No. 00/16. The Bureau is legally empowered to lead the region's transition toward an industrialized economy by fostering innovation, supporting small and medium-scale manufacturing, and expanding digital infrastructure.
